CLTA Splash Page Contest
CLTA announces its annual Splash Page Contest. Students compete to create a splash page for CLTA's site. You can see last year's winning entry at http://www.clta.net/. This year's winning entry will be the new splash page for CLTA's Web site. The splash page is the first page that appears when you go to the CLTA site. It introduces the CLTA site with color and animation.
Splash Page Submission Guidelines
- Themes should address learning of all languages and/or international understanding.
- All teachers submitting student splash pages must be current members (2008) of CLTA. If you are not currently a member of CLTA, you may download a membership application /renewal form at http://www.clta.net/membership/index.html
- Each teacher may select and submit only one entry to forward to CLTA.
- Entries must be submitted to Lewis Johnson by February 1, 2008.
- Entries may be submitted as an attachment to an e-mail. Send to lewisjohnson@charter.net and write Splash Page Entry in the subject line.
- Include in the body of the message the following: student name, teacher name, school name, teacher contact information (e-mail and phone number), and a brief description of the contents of the Splash Page.
- First, second, and third place winners will be announced at the CLTA Conference in Irvine, California, March 13 - 16, 2007.
- Winners will receive the following awards: 1st $100, 2nd $50, and 3rd $25.
- Entries become the property of CLTA.

- You may print this page and post it or distribute it to your students. You may download a pdf format of this page at http://www.clta.net/splash/flier.pdf.

- ____ Teacher is a current (2008) member of CLTA.
- ____ Entries are emailed by February 1, 2008.
- ____ No copyrighted materials were used in the splash page.
- ____ Splash page contains an "Enter" button to skip splash page.
- ____ Splash page cycle time should not exceed 3-5 seconds.
- ____ The splash page must be called index.html and forwards automatically to index1.html (CLTA main page) after cycling.
- ____ Splash page must function on a wide variety of browsers and versions.
