World Language Content Standards California now has world language content standards for public schools. Download the "World Language Content Standards." The State Board of Education unanimously adopted the World Language Content Standards on January 7, 2009. Needless to say, we are all very pleased with this outcome since we have waited for content standards for a very long time. The Standards Development Group that under the leadership of Arleen Burns and Brandon Zaslow, did "brilliant work" as it was termed by one State Board member! The Standards Development Group consisted of the following members and if you have a chance to send them a congratulatory/thank you note. You should also know that we received extremely positive comments from several Board members, and they are not know as a praise-giving group. As a matter of fact, the health standards were rejected three times by the Board before they were adopted by the Board this past November!
